ACTIVIST ANNOUNCES RUN FOR CONGRESS

Within the heart of America is the breath of a dream of freedom and justice for all, where each of us can aspire to whatever heights our skills and perseverance can take us. For millions of Americans it has become reality. For millions more Americans, though, freedom and justice remain locked as a dream.

Millions of children are buried beneath the poverty line, their stomachs shuddering with hunger while living in the most prosperous nation in the world. Corporations are given the status as "persons", and the protection afforded by that designation, while real people slave away in corporate-run sweat shops and drink corporate water polluted by chemicals that seep into the ground. Politicians who call their own drug use "experimentation" inflict harsh jail terms for drug users whose fathers are too poor to bend the law around them. In all aspects of our law, those with wealth fear little from a justice system that their fame and fortune can buy. We can--we must do better than this.

We have enough elected representatives who speak for those who hold the power in this country. We need someone to speak for the rest of us. This is what Stu Chaifetz will do as the Congressman from NJ's 4th Congressional district.

"For ten years I have fought against cruelty to animals in our state. I have exposed corruption in our government and fought with all my heart against brutal slaughter, and for honor and non-violence," states Chaifetz, a small business owner and long time animal protection activist. "Now, I want to take the skills and abilities I have learned and fight for you as your representative in Congress."

There are four issues that are the vanguard of this campaign:

·Domestic Violence: Money given to oppressive governments across the globe will be better spent on a network of shelters, creating a sanctuary system dedicated for women who are prisoners in their own homes, so that they need never again fear the fists of an abusive husband.

·Equal Rights: A justice system that allows skin color to be used as a basis for guilt is an unjust system. Discrimination against homosexuals must end, and marriage made open for all. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.

·Education: The billions of dollars wasted on weapons of destruction must be retaken, and used to build a world class school system for our children.

·The Plight of Animals: I seek to open the minds and hearts of all to the idea that each and every animal is a unique being that feels joy and pain, and suffers as we would when harmed. They are all worthy of our defense and compassion.
